The thing about Chacona is that he never wanted to learn how to paint, but he did want to put stuff together to create other stuff. So he did. For nearly a decade, Chacona made assemblage with no idea there was a preexisting term for his "Art Crap".

Chacona's work is the product of a harmlessly disturbed mind. "I've tried to make sculpture that doesn't look creepy," he said, "but it always does by the time it's finished." That probably says something about him, but you can make your own inferences.
